About Model Paint Stuff

Welcome to Model Paint Stuff, a specialist hobby store for model paints, weathering products, airbrushing supplies, tools and accessories for modellers who want to get the very best from their work.

Model Paint Stuff was created as a sister site to our original business, Rail Stuff, which launched in 2021 to serve the model railway community with scenery, details and accessories. From the beginning, Rail Stuff was built around a simple idea: too many hobby retailers were focused on big-ticket items, while the products that actually help people create their best work were often harder to find and poorly explained.

We wanted to change that.

From day one, our goal has been to offer carefully chosen products, clear information and genuinely helpful service. We have always believed that the right materials, tools and advice can make a huge difference, whether you are just starting out or have years of experience behind you.

As Rail Stuff grew, so did our range of paints, weathering products and airbrushing equipment. We built strong relationships with trusted brands and suppliers, including MIG Ammo and our airbrush supplier, who are UK distributors for Iwata and Sparmax. Over time, it became clear that the products and knowledge we were offering had a much wider appeal beyond model railways alone.

That is what led to the launch of Model Paint Stuff.

By creating a dedicated store for model painting, weathering and airbrushing, we can better serve scale modellers, military modellers, wargamers, Warhammer hobbyists and diorama builders. It also gives us the freedom to grow our range, share more guides and tutorials, and attend a wider variety of hobby shows and events. This year, for example, you will find us at UK Games Expo and at the IPMS show in Telford in November.

A Bit About Me

My name is Adam, and I lead the business.

At heart, I am a modeller first and foremost. My own background is more traditionally in model railways, but in recent years I have been exposed to more and more scale modelling, and I have loved what I have seen. What excites me most is finding great products, smart solutions and new ideas that help people enjoy the hobby more and get better results from it.

Service matters just as much to me as the products themselves.

Yes, we are an online retailer, but we aim to offer the same kind of service you would hope to find in a great local model shop. That means when you get in touch, you are speaking to a real person.
