Deluxe Materials Decal Soft-Set 50ml (BD87) | Decal Softening Solution

Deluxe Materials Decal Soft-Set 50ml (BD87) is a specialist softening solution that helps waterslide decals conform closely to panel lines, rivets, raised textures and other surface detail.

Applied over a positioned decal, Soft-Set softens the carrier film so it settles into the model surface for a smoother, more convincing painted-on appearance. It can be reapplied on complex areas and diluted with distilled water when working with particularly delicate decals.

Key features

• 50ml bottle of decal softening solution
• Helps decals conform to panel lines, rivets and raised detail
• Creates a more realistic painted-on finish
• Can be reapplied for difficult or deeply moulded surfaces
• Suitable for model railways, scale models, miniatures and dioramas

How to use

1. Make sure the painted surface is fully dry and test on an inconspicuous area if unsure.
2. Position the decal, ideally using Decal Sure-Set.
3. Apply Soft-Set over the decal and allow it to work.
4. Reapply where necessary for complex detail.
5. Use a fine needle to release trapped air bubbles if required.
